NAIL SURGERY |
 |
A surgical procedure to treat recurring
troublesome or in-growing toe nails.
This is carried out under local
anaesthesia (injections into the base of
the toe).
The offending part of the nail is
removed and a chemical (liquefied
Phenol) is applied to prevent re-growth.
The toe is then dressed and follow-up
appointments and dressings/ instructions
are provided until the toe(s) are completely
healed, usually between 4-8 weeks after
surgery.
